Rossiter Workouts...FAQ's

How do Rossiter Workouts Relieve Pain?

Rossiter Workouts relieve pain by loosening the body's fascia. Fascia is the membranous tissue that surrounds every muscle fiber, bundle of muscle fibers, and bundle of muscle fiber bundles in the body. In fact, if all of our skin was gone, nothing would fall apart because the fascia holds it together. Many people believe that tight muscles are the cause of their pain...what they don't know is that if the fascia relaxes, the muscles do too.

Think of fascia as the body's saran wrap. When saran wrap comes off the roll, it is nice, smooth, flat, and easy to use. With just a little bit of movement though, saran wrap starts to stick to itself and anything else it touches…eventually it is all crinkled up. This is what happens to the fascia in our body…over time, it gets crinkled up and stuck. The crinkling and sticking of fascia causes pain. Rossiter Workouts pull out the crinkles in the fascia. When fascia is smooth, muscles, nerves and blood vessels all have more space to move and function. More space equals less pain.

How many Rossiter Workouts will I need to feel better?

You can expect to feel much better by the end of one session. For most aches and pains, four to five sessions result in complete and lasting pain relief.

How long does a Rossiter Workout session last?

Your first Rossiter Workout session will take about 60 minutes. Follow-up sessions will be either 30 or 60 minutes depending on the pains you are getting rid of.

How do Rossiter Workouts help my athletic endurance, speed, and coordination?

Rossiter Workouts create more space in the body for muscles to move and grow with ease. More space allows for better delivery of nutrient and oxygen-rich blood to the muscle cells. Well-nourished muscles are more likely to endure extended exertion and to gain strength easily. They are less likely to have problems with tightness and cramping.

Rossiter workouts can also help athletes achieve a fuller breath for oxygen intake and they can help the body be more aligned so that more physical motion can be achieved with less effort.

What Causes Structural Pain in the Body?

Structural pain is frequently caused by compression of nerves by the surrounding soft tissue. Soft tissue includes fascia and muscles. When compression occurs, there is pressure on the nerve and it sends signals to your brain that you interpret as pain. Over time, the compression also affects the nutrient supply to the muscle tissue. Undernourished muscles, ache and hurt more because they are unable to receive the nutrients they need to move easily.

Where did Rossiter Workouts Originate?

Rossiter Workouts were developed by Richard Rossiter, an ex-helicopter pilot who was suffering from structural pain so debilitating that he was nearly unable to work. Over the past 20 years, he has developed this unique set of partner-stretching techniques that have relieved structural pain for people around the world. He has even taken the Rossiter Workout System to many corporations who now use it as part of their wellness programming. These companies have seen dramatic reductions in employee injuries related to repetitive stress - i.e. carpal tunnel, low back pain, and tennis elbow.
